In this heartfelt romance story, Zane McKenna, a lonely rancher, misses his ex-wife, Tara, who has experienced serious misfortune since she left him for another man, a man who has since died in a tragedy that has left her scarred, physically and emotionally.
From his neighboring ranch, Zane has been watching out for Tara’s welfare, but now, Tara is missing. Zane must not only find Tara on the desolate Wyoming prairie before it’s too late, but he must help her to overcome her shattered life. Her guilt has taken a terrible toll on her and she has resisted his efforts to communicate. He must also find forgiveness within his own heart and set things right between them, or he will lose her, forever.
This is a contemporary Western short story romance of about 10,000 words.
